  • ENOUGH OF THE CARNAGE AND DEATH OF INNOCENT NIGERIANS: SOLUTIONS TO TERRORISM
    by Joseph Ifeanyi Chikunie
    May 05, 2014
The sanctity of human life should never be compromised. It is very precious and priceless. It should not be wasted at all, not for any reason. God bestows life on us and only He should terminate the life of anyone. This is why life imprisonment is preferred to death penalty in certain civilized societies. An offender can still be reformed and contribute towards the development of the society one way or the other if incarcerated for life. He or she has zero chance of turning over a new leaf or make amend once executed. We speak of criminals and law breakers being shown some level of compassion through life preservation rather than termination by the authorities. How much more innocent people who are being cut down mindlessly by terrorists without committing any crime whatsoever?

The second is that “those who are too smart to engage in politics are punished by being governed by those who are dumber” (Plato).  NigerianNews Special

Gani Fawehinmi is dead and it is yet another hypocrisy season. Those Nigerians who for many years instituted and built all the evil structures, policies and demonic mentality are today paying tribute to the late legal luminary and legendary human rights activist. They need be reminded that Gani spent the better part of his life speaking and kicking against their unpatriotic actions. NigerianNews Special
