If you decide to wait and watch the counting, please click here and send the results of the different counts of different contested offices in your ward. As we said above, some of us are as bad as the people we are trying to elect. If for any reason you send us a fraudulent result and you think we cannot trace where the email comes from, you will be deceiving yourself. If we catch such a culprit, we will turn him/her to the INEC for prosecution under the applicable law.

The National Assembly has a life span of four years, therefore the first National Assembly started its life in 1999, and ended its span of life in 2003, and a new one started in May 29, of 2003. At this time, May 29 was christened  'democracy day' Henceforth, a new National Assembly with a new set of legislative and Presidential players will take a new oath of office every May 29, of a New National Assembly year. Therefore, a journey to a new and 4th National Assembly begins today, April 2nd, 2011!

We will henceforth call the life of a National  Assembly by its proper shorter name as an Assembly. An Assembly has a life span of four years. We have gone through the above preamble to today's 'Assembly journey because our journalists have variously called the life and span of an Assembly a 'Session', Whereas an Assembly may have several sessions as its subset, nevertheless a session is never a superset of an Assembly. No new legislators assemble until they have taken the oath of a new Assembly, so therefore a journey to a new assembly begins today. Hopefully, either our journalists call it the beginning of a journey to a new National Assembly or just an Assembly, no new legislative lives start at a session of an Assembly, whereas an Assembly may have many sessions before it expires in its constitutionally allotted life of four years! During this same 4 year period, the Federal and the State assemblies with the Governors all  start their journey at different election dates

So, today, we start a new journey to a new National Assembly that will last 4 years. An Assembly is as good as the legislators elected during the exercise. Correspondingly, since the legislators come from the people, the legislators are equally as good as the people who elect them. Therefore, it is terrible when the people take bribes to exercise their civic duties and expect a good National Assembly. A legislator who spends as much money as they spend today must not be blamed when he/she tries to recoup the money spent to be elected. It is equally sinful when you complain when they are recouping their money.

It is a grand deception when you do something the same way year-in, year-out and expect different outcome. We have conducted all affairs of our nation the same way for most of our 50 years of independence, yet we expect an outcome that rivals what is obtainable in the developed countries. Today, April 2nd offers us a new opportunity to start anew. Modified Option A4 guarantees the secrecy of your votes. If a candidate offers you money, he/she deserves to be taught a lesson. Let he/she know that you have been fooled for so long, and offering some of the money they steal from the public coffers does not append you to their apron strings. So, when you go in to mark your ballots today, mark your conscience and make a fool of the bribe givers. If they make you swear at a shrine, tell them the oracle that dwells in a shrine is the 'representative' of the Almighty God, and that your Almighty God cannot be fooled with impunity and without consequences. The oracle at Okija has conclusively proved this as Orji Kalu will testify to you! The man he took to Okija is still a Governor and alive, but no longer his friend. From this it becomes very clear that you cannot fool even the oracle at Okija!

So, vote wisely. When you finish voting, if your conscience does not revolt with you based on the vote you cast, know that you are blessed.

There appears to be a disagreement between INEC and the NSA/police on what you should do after casting your vote. Your representatives according to the new electoral reform want you to stay 300 meters away during the vote counting, so the NSA Azazi seems to ratchet in on that, using security argument to tell you not to even wait to defend your votes. However, INEC, the organization which knows more than the NSA says you can wait and watch the count at a distance of 30 meters. We will say, follow the INEC. If you are successful in the way you vote, there will not be any contradictory messages in the next election.

Please when you send your results, put your name and all other identifications including the State, the candidates position (Senate or Rep), their scores, the Ward ID, etc. This is a civic duty. We are satisfied that the INEC, unlike the previous electoral umpire has done as much as we can expect them to do, however, remember some of us are desperately wicked, so, cover every possible precautionary post-counting INEC direction.

Note that no one makes us an election judge, but we must all chip in, and prevent the dead conscience looters from further violating us. Enough of the complaining, take charge of your own destiny!
